Calculus 3 Dot Product, Projections, and angle between vector notes
This document covers the Dot Product and its properties, Work, Scalar Projections, Vector Projection, and Orthogonal Projection. The Dot Product is used to find the angle between two vectors and can be represented as a scalar. Work is calculated using the Dot Product between force and displacement vectors. Scalar Projection and Vector Projection are used to determine how much of one vector is in the same direction as another vector. Orthogonal Projection is used to determine the component of a vector that is orthogonal to another vector. This document provides examples and formulas for each concept discussed.
