Afrikaans I learned to speak from those farmers. That language, we had a hard time of it with the white people and that language. But N │uu was the language of the heart. When I heard N │uu, many people spoke it. But they all died off into time, and so we weren’t allowed to talk N I uu. We had to speak Afrikaans. 14 That is why N │uu has died out.
