In this assignment I will compare the effectiveness of my team against another
team in my class. I will identify a number of team solutions in which I have been
involved, good and bad, and I will also outline the reason why some of the team
members have been more effective than others and how my team managed to finish
the task successfully till the end.


How did my team develop in terms of:
Working together to create resources:

The members of my team were selected randomly in order to achieve a task, which consists in
creating an educational game for a 7 years old child who was going in a trip. We were four
members in my group, and the group was called ‘Fantastic Four’. The other team was made up by 3
people but they didn't had a certain leader as they were all absent from the day we had the activity,
so they had to build the team in another lesson and they had just a half an hour to do it.

Compared to the other team we all welcoming towards each over. This allowed for a very united
group, which obviously led to great ideas being thrown around. I outlined the team
building to be 5/5 because despite some lack of professionalism at times due to us getting
combatable with each over, when it came down to the actual task everyone had 100% co-operation
and loads of willingness to help. The communication within my team was very effective due to the
fact that everyone was able to communicate with little or no hassle which made it easier for us to
achieve our task. The reason for my team having effective communication is simply because
everyone in my team either knew each other from before or got to know each other on that day. Due
to this everyone felt comfortable when having to interact and communicate with one another. Also
my team’s communication was very effective through the whole team building day and this was
mainly because my team had a very high rapport from the start my team connected well and was
able to understand each other's feelings or ideas and communicate well.

Moreover in the other team, there communication wasn’t as effective as my teams’ communication.
This is because throughout the whole team building day they kept having disagreements and small
arguments between them about who should be leader who should do this and who should do that.
This wasn’t making their communication effective because people then didn’t want to listen to each
other or communicate with one another when they had to.
The difference between Dragos’ team and my team when it came to the effectiveness of
communication is that my team was able to communicate and create resources more effective
within the team simply because our marketing campaign was high-quality and the team understood
each other. Whereas the other team collected resources that didn’t make sense. There wasn’t a great
deal of similarity between my team and Dragos’ team but a small similarity between them both was
that my team was able to achieve the task and so was Dragos’ team but took them a little bit longer
due to the lack of communication.
