In this task I will explain what cohesive team is. Building a cohesive team will
involve making sure that you have very good staff. It also means having a good
communication skill in the team. This will make sure that the team understands
what they are doing and that is a good sense of leadership in the organisation.
In this assignment I’m going to use the theories of Belbin and Tuckman.

Team Building:

In order for a team to be successful it is very important so they can work in a good
environment. Teamwork is a future-key of a successful organisation. Also, the
managers are playing an important role in an organisation in creating high-
performance teams.

Team building starts with recruiting the right mix of team members and then
coaching and mentoring members to create high-performance teams.

Recruitment:

The recruitment process involves identifying skills that a company requires from
new team members. This is referred to a job analysis and outlines all the
qualifications and qualities that a new team member would be expected to have.
This helps the business screening, selecting and hiring applicants.

This helps cohesive teams by integrating new employees to the organisation.

The induction process represents a series of activities designed to introduce new
employees to an organisation, its members and its working practices.

This helps cohesive teams by explaining their objectives and training employees.

Training and mentoringprocessit is used to encourage team members and to provide
targets for them to achieve that they are manageable, rewarding and motivating. The
mentor is a role model who shares knowledge and advice.

This helps cohesive teams by helping employees to grow professionally.

Motivationhelps the members being part of a team, and that they are given the right
training and development opportunities to contribute to the team.
