Students work in pairs, taking turns reading (Georgia Standards,
2008). Students will split into pairs and take turns reading aloud.
Before pairing off, the class will review sight words.

Factors/Grouping:There are several students with reading disabilities, including Marcus. They will use a 1st grade text (Georgia Standards, 2008) and they will be paired with each other.

All students will discuss, with their partners, the main topics. There will be two teachers will circulate to make sure everyone is on task and identifying the main ideas; who, what, when, where, why and how.
