Will there be life on earth in 2200?
A world to not be proud of, that should go through all peoples minds at this point. Fossil fuels are extracted out
of the ground like it is nothing dangerous. If these extractions do not stop immediately, people will not be able
to live on the earth in 2200. So, something needs to be changed. Energy must come from a more sustaining
source like the sun because the sun will never be out of fuels. Solar energy should be mandatory.
First of all, the atmosphere will be much cleaner. To achieve this cleaner atmosphere, factories who make
energy out of fossil fuels should shut down and be replaced with solar panels on the roof of houses, office
building and all other buildings. With those changes, the air will be cleaner for people to breath in, which is due
to the CO2-emissions that are lowered through closing the factories.
Furthermore, energy will be self-sustaining. Right now, a great amount of fossil fuels is imported into the
country. If for example Russia stops selling the fuels, the population will be out of energy. However, with solar
panels on every roof, the importation of fossil fuels will not be needed anymore, and the country will
completely lay on his own green energy which is more reliable than depending on a different country.
On the other hand, solar panels are very expensive. A great amount of people can barely get going with the
everyday life like buying groceries or clothes. It is not achievable to buy solar panels in such families. And when
it would be bought because it is mandatory, there will be a debt which cannot be paid back which brings the
people in an even worse situation.
However, the government can give money to her citizens to rearrange all the solar panels. With that, the whole
country will be on green energy. Also, the government saves up a great amount of money due to not having to
import fossil fuels anymore. Which makes it possible to use this money to buy even more solar panels. And
when more than enough energy is made, the green energy can even be sold to other countries for a greater
price.
To conclude, solar energy should be mandatory. The breathing air will be cleaner, there will be more reliability
on the energy sources and money will be saved by the government. Switching to solar panels should not be
procrastinated any longer, it must start now. It is a beginning to a world to be proud.
