o We need people who want to understand the world around them
o We need people who will spot an opportunity and go for it
o We need people who can make connections
o We need to have people with the ability to see the big picture
o We need people who know what they are up against
o We need people who can confidently engage with key decision-makers at all
levels
Health policy analysis is about..
Assessing a situation to see if it’s a problem
Analysing a problem to understand its drivers
, Engaging stakeholders to set political agendas
Leveraging science to implement solutions
Within this course, Public Policy Analysis is like the methodology of skills to analyse
policy
This is combined with European & Global Health Policy, which is examples of current
situations to which the policy analysis can be applied.

There are two major ways to approach the topic of policy:
o Policy making as a balance of factors
This triangle can change based on your
focus. Here, the focus is the content so it is
in the middle of the triangle. If you want
actors to be the focus then you put them in
the middle of the triangle and content as
