strategy and even metroidvania. Let us look at the top 10 game
genres.
Action:
Action games are a video game genre that emphasizes on physical
challenges which include reaction time and hand to eye coordination
and normally being fast paced and timed for extra pressure on the
player.
Action games have many sub genres such as first-person shooter
(fps), platform games, survival games and more. A great example of
an action game is Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception because it contains
countless shootouts, quick time fighting sequences and a lot of
climbing, chasing, and fleeing sequences making quick reaction times
of the player a must.

Sports games are a video game genre that simulates sports such as

teams to win championships. Players can also make their own
“dream team” where they can make their own teams to play against
other players online. Also, with a career mode the player can

Battle royale games are the fun new genre that have exploded in the
past 2-3 years. This genre is driven by the massive success of the two
popular games Fortnite and PubG. A battle royale game is an online
multiplayer video game genre that is a mixture of survival and
exploration with last-man-standing gameplay.
Battle royale games involve hundreds of players who start with
minimal equipment and then must eliminate all other opponents
whilst also avoid being trapped outside of a shrinking safe area with
the winner being the last player/team alive. This is the goal in both
games Fortnite and PubG.

the past few years.
There are now many ways anyone can play games. You can play on
your phone, tablet, computer, TV; play with friends or alone, offline
and online.
With games being so easily accessible on pretty much any device and
a total of 2.5 billion gamers worldwide the demographics of players
are far and endless.
