Small criminals
For many teenagers college is nothing but a dream. They want to be educated, but simply do not
have the facilities for that. Parents with an unstable job, divorced family’s and lost family members.
There are so many family’s where education is not the biggest issue. Many families cope with these
sort of issues and because of this, they cannot send their children to school. Teenagers without an
education often end up doing criminal activities, like selling drugs, because there is no other way to
get money to sustain your household. For this reason, children and teenagers should get tuition for
an education.
Firstly, children whom do not have an education cannot get jobs easily. The society we live in
contains many jobs, that you cannot get without an education. Jobs that you can get without an
education, won’t pay all the bills, especially when you have kids. Uneducated people are more likely
to get children at an early age, which means that there is a greater need for money. All this together
leads to the point where many teenagers without an education will sell drugs or steal from other
people’s houses, to get money for their family.
Secondly it is proven that children without an education are less healthy. When it is hard to find a
job, there will not be lots of money spent at food. Cheap food is often unhealthy and as a result,
uneducated people have a shorter lifespan. That is one downside, but another one is that kids whom
grow up in a criminal household, are more likely to end up doing criminal activities themselves.
Even though a tuition for juveniles seems like a good solution, there is always a downside. The
money that will be given to teenagers for an education, will probably not be used for an education.
The money will probably be kept by their parents, but if the parents had plenty of money they would
not need a tuition for their children’s education. If parents are struggling to put food on the table
every day, they will think that is more important than an education. If parents will spend the tuition
on other products, this vicious cycle will never end.
However, if the government will keep a close eye on what will happen to the money and makes sure
that this goes to an education, the vicious cycle can be broken and there will be less juvenile crime.
When this tuition will be more of a loan than a gift, children have no other choice, but to spend it on
an education. When the juveniles grow up and have a stable jobs, thanks to their education, they can
pay it back.
All things considered, this arrangement would be good against the juvenile crime. This arrangement
gives them a future and a chance to fulfil a role in today’s society. It will improve the future of
children, whom had thought they would end up in a criminal environment. To give all the children a
chance at a bright future, there should be tuition for an education.
