LAW5003 Equity and Trusts
INSTRUCTIONS:
Please put your student number (9 digit number) ONLY at the top of your
assessment submission. DO NOT put your name your submission.
You MUST indicate you agree with the declaration below.
Please state the module name and date at the top of your answers.
You must answer TWO questions out of the SIX questions provided.
There is an overall submission word limit of 3,000 words. This word limit is an
absolute maximum. Penalties will be applied if a candidate exceeds the
applicable limit.
Penalties will be applied if a candidate exceeds 3000 words, but there is no
requirement that responses must be at or even near the word-limit. It is a limit, not
a target.
Students are not expected to spend 24 hours working on this assessment, which
under normal (in person) exam conditions would have a scheduled duration of 2
hours 15 minutes plus 15 minutes reading time (according to the applicable
module description).
Timed assessments (including 24-hour assessments) will not be accepted after the
submission deadline has passed. Late submissions will attract a mark of 0% (in the
absence of an accepted extenuating circumstances claim).
No footnoting, quotations, or case citations are required. However, plagiarism rules
apply and you must attribute ideas or phrases that you have taken verbatim or
paraphrased from another source. Do not cut and paste your responses from
internet sources.

If you experience any technical issues with the submission of your online assessments you
should email the Law Undergraduate Office () and attach a copy of
the assessment. Emails should be sent from QM email accounts and the module code/title
should be included in the subject heading.
If you have any questions concerning any errors or discrepancies arising on the
exam paper, you may contact Dr Stephen Allen () or Dr Isobel
Roele () between 16:00 and 17:00 BST on the day of release.
Should any error or discrepancy be identified, a class-wide announcement will be
made promptly via QMPlus, for the information of the entire class wherever and
whenever the exam paper is being sat during the 24-hour take-home exam.
