, Executive Summary

This report analysis the external environment of ITV group. The external environment will be
presented by using the PESTLE framework. A key political issue that has affected ITV is the
UK leaving the European Union (BREXIT). On the economic front, interest rates and
exchange rate alongside other foreign currency had an effect on ITV group. Socio-culturally
ITV is influenced by the fact that the old age dependency ratio (OADR) is rising.
Technologically, cyber-security is one issue that the group had to deal with. Environmentally
ITV is affected by the increased cost of the energy and legally by the “Copyright, patents /
Intellectual property law”.
The second part of the report analysis the relevance of Incremental and Radical Innovation to
ITV and how it influences policies and decision-making within the company.
