The Nervous System
The nervous system is comprised of two systems 1. Peripheral System ● Autonomic: controls involuntary function ● Somatic: controls voluntary functions 2. Central nervous system: ● Composed of the brain and the spinal cord ● Three meninges that help protect our cns ● cerebral ventricles are pockets that are filled with fluid Called the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)that cushions important Parts of our cns from injury
