Job Title- Physical Education teacher
Location- Bridge of Don Academy
When you start- Fixed-term up to 3rd July 2015
Salary/yearly, £34,000 per year
Bonus- no bonuses
Hours of work 14 hours per week (Thursday and Friday)
Job roles
Excellently organize space, equipment, and students.
Provide acceptable also enough equipment that lets all children to be
active at the same time (e.g. each student taking part in dodge ball must
have one ball at the begging of the game).
Limit teacher talk or instruction time.
Plan sporting activities and competitions.
Construct the class in a way that they will learn whiles the students are
being physically active.
Report To: head of physical education
Responsible for: any problems involving children.
Finding ways to meet the aims and objectives because each student get
given an aim and objective and they would have to find a ways to achieve
them e.g. exercise in order to improve in the sport they are doing.
Making decisions like what type of sport the students are going to each
mount.
Responsible for looking after the children e.g. if a student goes missing it
would be your responsibility to look for them because you are in charge of
look after them.
Handling situations like fights between the children and helping the
children when they get injured during sports
Problem solving, handling unusual circumstances like if in football one of
the student scores and but the student from opposite side says that he
was off side, a way to solve this would to have a referee and the referee
will make the decision and have the last say.

Personal specification
Qualifications
Must have a full/Provisional GTC (Scotland) Registration in Physical
Education.
Must have 3-4 Highers, sometimes including science subjects.
Diploma in Physical Education.
A Degree in Physical Education.
You need evidence that shows your practical ability.
5 C-A grade in G.C.S.E including Maths and English.
In your degree you must at least have 80 credit points. Also 40 credit
points must be at Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF)
Level 8 (second year undergraduate level) or above.
80 credit points will be from subjects involving practical performance, such
as sport, dance or outdoor pursuits and subjects involving the analysis of
aspects of physical education, such as movement analysis, choreography,
sports coaching, biomechanics, sports science, exercise physiology, sports
psychology, health and fitness or special needs in movement education.
Skills-leadership role
Enthusiasm to find a way the activities enjoyable and interesting
Excellent IT skills to make presentations.
Good verbal communication skills because you would have to take to
students in a certain way and staff members in a certain way.
Team working skills to work with other staff members.
Organisational skills to organise sport completions.
Energy to take part in the sport the student are doing.
Confidence to speak out loud in order to get instructions and other things
across
Motivational in order to motivate the students to take part in certain
sports.
Time management-working with staff members and student.
Experience: Must have experience with organising sport activities also you will
need understanding about how to perform and teach different physical activities
such as rock climbing, rollerblading, tennis, supportive activities, golf, running,
ultimate Frisbee, basketball, fitness, aerobics, dance, gymnastics, etc.
