In this assignment I’m going to present the initial business idea
using relevant criteria.
Introduction:
My business idea is to start up business in within the clothing/
retail industry. My aim is to sell designer clothing (Gstar raw,
EA7, True Religion, and Creative Recreation) and my own
branded clothing (Yoke menswear). These clothes will be aimed
at trendy young adults who are into the latest and best of the
brands above.
The proposed name of name business will be ‘KOYLE’. The
name of the business was the first name that was proposed to
me by an associate that really stuck with me as a possible
company name. This is because it is a very unique name.
The products my business will provide are new and exclusive
clothing which caters for men all sizes. There will be a range of
products such as jeans, shoes, tops/ t-shirts, jerseys, jumpers,
hats, jackets, sweaters, tracksuits and shorts/ ¾ shorts.
The business will take a sole traders form of ownership. I
believe this form of ownership will benefit me because:
I will maintain full control of the business. Running it how I
please without the interference of others.
I will retain all the profits of the business.
Information about the business can be kept private, unlike
that of limited companies which is necessarily made public
after registration.
This important as I will be able to make decisions quickly and
act on them swiftly, providing for the needs of the customers.
This is a new business although I will receive a mixture of
competition from both small and larger scale stores.
I believe the thing that makes my idea attractive is the fact that
there are not enough trendy shops in the Croydon area which
also sells retro clothing. With the labels I am selling people will
