Notes on how to search the Internet effectively. Chapter goals: Explain what it takes to search the Internet effectively. Recall that search engines are composed of a crawler and a query processor and explain what those are. Use complex queries using logical operators AND, OR, and NOT, to effectively find information. Show how to filter and subtract search terms to remove results that are less relevant. Show how to use the CRAAP method to judge the validity of found information. Analyze and cross-check found information with other sources.
