In this assignment I will complete my career plan identifying their development
needs. I will create SMART targets for my career plan and carry out a skills audit to
identify skill gaps. I will then assess methods of achieving development needs within
a given timeframe of the career plan. Afterwards I will monitor and audit progress
towards targets using appropriate success criteria, followed by the evaluation of the
distance travelled in achieving the planned objectives of my career plan.
The career I have chosen to flourish is in a law field that is being a Solicitor. The main
reason for choosing this field is my passion for law and the trend that my family has
with it. This is a very challenging career and this influences me, as I am fond of doing
different tasks and a same task in a different way. Other than the challenges there are
many opportunities with the career and some of my threats would be over done by the
