Introduction to Psychology Week 1
Psychology investigates people's self-interest in depth. It is the only discipline that addresses these difficulties and gives crucial hints and jigsaw pieces. Philosophers as early as 400 BCE discussed psychological notions like free choice and determinism. Hippocrates believed that a fluid imbalance caused mental illness. Philosophers attempt to understand themselves and others out of curiosity rather than to solve problems. We learned about Application Topics: Disease research continued despite the lack of a "home." Philosophers in the 1600s developed well-thought-out theories. In the late 1800s, one person's interest led to the formation of psychology as a science. Wilhelm Wundt used science to examine consciousness. His pupils popularized psychology in America, founding journals, and the APA. The study of the mind and behavior is known as psychology. It's vague and contains both theoretical and practical information.
