Lesson 1 - Grade 2 : Home Language (HLT3701) – Group-guided Reading
Design and teach a group-guided reading lesson to a Grade 2 class. Develop some questions
that you will ask before, during and after reading. These should include FIVE (5) lower-order
thinking and FIVE (5) higher-order thinking questions.
i. Select TWO (2) to FOUR (4) key words which will also expand the children’s
vocabulary.
ii. In your workbook, provide a set of TEN (10) questions that you will ask as evidence.
