Subject: Are cell phones dangerous?

Cell phones are demons

A world without cell phones, that is something we cannot and will never imagine. With
these devices we can call distant family or find whatever information on the internet.
Generally social media is the most important. Everything that people would like to share,
anonymously or not, is on social media. Not only pictures, but also opinions of any kind. All
these advantages may overshine the dark side of cell phones. But that side should be known
too.
First of all, the fact that everyone can be anyone on cell phones is scary. People can pretend
to be someone they are not, and so take advantage of anyone. Sure, we all lie, but this can
get out of hand. For example, a long time ago we pictured thieves as people who robbed the
bank for money. Nowadays a lot of thieves are invisible, they pretend to be your bank or a
brand via email to ask if you would be so kindly to transfer a certain amount of money. Most
of the time we can't see the difference between real and fake, so this can be dangerous.
Second of all, the world on cell phones gives us a point of view of how the world is supposed
to look like. Social media decides what the beauty standards are or how you need to dress
and act. The world is run by cell phones, at a very young age, children are confronted by cell
phones. So, these children are facing this idealistic world every day. That world is all about
fitting in and without a cell phone or the trendy clothing you are an outcast. But this
reflection of how a perfect person should be, can have negative effects on us. It can lead to
body dysmorphia and eating disorders or obsessive behaviour about social media.
And last but least, everything can be said and done and there is no coming back from that.
On cell phones there are no parents or police that can prevent you of saying or doing
something. Saying something mean in person feels wrong, but apparently saying something
on the internet can be a lot easier. That it makes it easier, makes it also a lot more
dangerous. People can be threatened or bullied and the consequences of both for the victim
can be horrifying.
To conclude, cell phones impact our lives negatively. Such as identifying as people we are
not. Or the fact that people, that includes children, are influenced by everything that passes
on their cell phones which can be dangerous for their mental state. And that people can
write with no remorse. This all should not be allowed. It is all out of our control, therefore
cell phones are indeed dangerous.
