INTRODUCTION:
This report aims to study the growth of Tropaeolum majus, L. and its uses, both
traditionally and medically. Tropaeolum majus, L., also known as garden nasturtium,
belongs to Tropaeolaceae (Jakubczyk et al., 2018). It is an annual and rapidly-growing
plant (Brondani et al., 2016) widely cultivated for medicinal, traditional, therapeutic and
ornamental purposes (Jurca et al., 2018; Barros et al., 2020). It is native to the Andean
States (Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela), specifically Peru but was
brought to Europe in the 14th century (Traesel et al., 2017; Jakubczyk et al., 2018).

INTRODUCTION:
