Task 1
1.1 The design of the relational database system using appropriate design
tool s and techniques. It should contai n at least four interrelated tables.

1.2 You will produce a comprehensive design for a fully functional system which will
include interface to Trinity Music School and output designs, data validations and
cover data normalisation. Clear statem ents of user and system requirements.

Task 2
2.1 Once the designs have bee n accepted you have been asked to develop the
database system using evidence of user interface, output and data validations
and q uerying across multiple tables.
2.2 You want to include more th an just the basics so you will implement a fully functional
database system which will include system security and database maintenance features.
2.3 You have decided to implement a query language into the relational database
system. Assessing whether meaningful data has been extracted through the use
of query tools to produce appropriate management information.

2.3.1 For each lecture display the total number of students attended.
2.3.2 Display the lecture details of Guitar class and his total number of lecture hours.
2.3.3 Display the class schedule of the week starting from 29/06/2016 to 0
5/06/2016. That is class code, instrument taught, teacher, time duration and
number of students attended.

3.1 Evaluating the effectiveness of the database solution in relation for educational
organizational environment and system requirements, and suggest improv ements
3.2 Once the system has been developed, you will test the system against user and
system Requirements, including an explanation of the choice of test data used.
3.3 Produce technical and user documentation which will be given to the Trinit y
Music School. provide some graphical rep resentations for ease of reference in
the technic al guide and produce a technical and us er documentation for a fully
functional system, i ncluding diagrams showing movement of data through the
system, and flowcharts describing how the system works.
