SCI 228 Week 3 iLab 1, Taco Bell
Healthy Meal The restaurant I choose for this lab was Taco Bell. For my healthiest meal I choose to go with the Power Menu Bowl – Chicken, the Chips and Pico De Gallo side, water for my beverage and Cinnamon Twist for my desert. A breakdown of the nutrients found in my meal are as follows; Fat (Saturated) known to play a key role in immune health. Cholesterol which can stick to the walls of your arteries leading to heart disease, Stroke and peripheral artery disease. Carbohydrates (Macro-Nutrient) is broken down by the body to provide energy. The almost non-existent traces of iron which could lead to anemia, common caused by too few healthy blood cells I the body. Calcium being another vitamin that was barely present in the chosen meal. Rather important because of its role in aiding bone health and protection from diseases such as osteoporosis. Vitamin A was present, a powerful antioxidant aiding not only in vision health but also ones neurological functions, healthy skin, and
