Protein Proteins are crucial nutrient that the body needs. It is the main building
blocks of the body. It is also referred to as growth and repair food,
needed to repair tissue that is damaged.
Nutrients Nutrients are a necessity, which provides nourishment to maintain life
and growth for the body to function properly. Nutrients have different
tasks to perform and include; protein, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins and
minerals, water and fibre.
Carbohydrates Carbohydrates are formed from the sugars, and fibres that you get in
grains, fruits, vegetables and dairy products. It is referred to as energy
foods which forms the basic fuel of glucose.
Minerals Minerals contain the basic elements which can be obtained in soil and
air. Minerals are needed so that the nerves and muscles can function
properly and it aid to build the body (muscle, bones and teeth).
Fat Fats are the main source of energy in the body, doubled the energy
obtained from carbohydrates. It is referred to as slow energy food. It
can be found in vegetable and animal foods.
Indemnity Indemnity means to protect someone from loss. The teacher is
obligated to protect and look after a child.
Negligence Negligence is the failure to react as a sensible cautious and prudent
person would react under the same circumstances. It is also known as
the failure to act when there is a duty to act or to react improperly.
In loco Acting in the place of a responsible parent. The learners’ safety is your
parentis duty.
Liability To be legally responsible for someone or something. The educator
has a duty of care towards the learners’ and their wellbeing.
Steroids It helps to build strength and lessen the recovery rate of training and
may lead to an androgenic or anabolic result. Steroids aid to speed up
body healing. It can be taken orally or by injection. It also causes
aggressiveness, liver damage and gastric ulcers in athletes.
