Samenvatti ng
Reanimatie is een levensreddende handeling die wordt ingezet bij slachtoffers met een
hartstilstand. Beademen is in Europa een vast onderdeel van reanimatie en het afwisselen
ervan met hartmassage is ook de manier waarop het cursisten wordt aangeleerd.
Tijdens de Coronapandemie wordt echter het advies om te beademen ingetrokken om
besmetting met het virus te voorkomen. Het Corona-virus kan griepachtige verschijnselen
veroorzaken en zelfs levensbedreigende luchtwegaandoeningen veroorzaken.
Een onderzoek uit de Kanto-regio in Japan geeft de resultaten weer over de invloed van
mond-op-mondbeademing bij slachtoffers.
