T: So, we have a lot of different ideas on the board which is great! I want us to take a close
look at the model sentence “If it’s sunny on Saturday, I’ll go to the beach”.
Who would like to go to the beach this weekend?
S: *A number of students raise their hands*
T: Can anybody tell me what we usually need to go to the beach?
S1: A towel?
S2: An umbrella?
S3: Sunscreen?
T: That’s all correct, but I’m looking for an answer that makes the beach more fun.
Can anybody guess what this is?
S: Good Weather?
T: Yes, that’s the answer I was looking for! So can we agree on saying that sunny weather is
needed to go to the beach?
S: Yes!
T: So if we use this as an example, and I ask you “Will you go to the beach on Saturday?”
S: If it’s sunny, yes.
T: Great! So if it’s sunny on Saturday, I’ll go to the beach. Let me write this down on the board
again.
