Voor u heeft u het beroepsproduct financiële rapportages. Wij hebben dit onderzoek geschreven
voor onze opleiding Business studies. Dit onderzoek hebben wij uitgevoerd over de organisatie
Adyen. In dit onderzoek zijn wij gaan onderzoeken of je een aandeel van Adyen moet kopen,
verkopen of houden. Het was een interessant onderzoek om te doen, de kennis die wij de afgelopen
3 periodes hebben opgedaan kwam ook terug in dit beroepsproduct.
Wij willen graag iedereen bedanken die mee heeft geholpen aan dit beroepsproduct financiële
rapportages. Wij willen onze docent Martinus de Laat bedanken voor zijn hulp, ondersteuning en zijn

Dear reader,
In this summary you can read about what we did per chapter to execute this assignment. Also, it
contains all the conclusions we have drawn in this integral business analysis about Adyen.
We learned a lot about Adyen while creating this assignment. We have used lots of different sources
and methods to learn about the company so that we could create this report. Now that the biggest
part of the assignment is executed, we can write this summary with our conclusions.
In chapter one we learned about what Adyen does who the founders are and what Adyen’s mission
and vision is. Also, we found out what Adyen her strategy is and how the company thinks about the
climate and health of our planet. Furthermore, we learned a lot about Adyen’s stakeholders in this
chapter. We also made an 7s model. From this assignment we can conclude that Adyen is a fast-
growing company in a fast-growing sector. And that it wants to keep up the good work by expanding
their business in a social acceptable way.
In chapter two we learned about the external environment of Adyen on macro and meso level. From
this chapter we can conclude that Adyen is operating in a booming sector and that stocks and shares
are also booming and showing huge growth as well. Also, we can conclude that on a macroeconomic
level Adyen is in a nice position. The rising customer buying power for instance is an example that
indicates this.
In chapter three was a bigger chapter that the others in the first half of the chapter we made a
fundamental analysis. Also, we analyzed the solvency and the liquidity of Adyen. It also included the
profitability and the activity indicators. Furthermore, we concluded the employee identification
numbers. The main conclusion that we can draw from this part is that Adyen is financially a really
healthy company.
In chapter three we also made an environmental analysis and a Dupont chart. The conclusion we can
draw from this data is that when you look at the numbers and statistics that Adyen could be a great
company to make an investment. The only downsides are that the price earnings ratio is higher than
the net asset value. So now more money must be paid for a share while the actual value is lower.
Also, other investors see that Adyen and the fintech sector is doing well this may cause a hype
around these stocks and shares and a lot of people will start buying. This could lead to the shares
being overrated.
In chapter four we discussed the sustainable development goals for Adyen. This is executed by
looking at what Adyen is doing in order to become climate neutral. This chapter also contains an
evaluation of SGD actions at Adyen. The main conclusion is that Adyen is doing well on their
sustainable development goals and that this is good for their business. This is because of the fact
that it has become very important to be environmentally conscious as a company nowadays because
often this persuades into customers to choose you as their partner rather than any other company.
In chapter five we created a forecast which included a balance sheet and an income statement. We
learned how to estimate the near future of a company. The main conclusion that we can draw from
this chapter is that the future looks bright, but that the predictions of the Inholland students are
more favorable to Adyen than the predictions of the experts.
