The functioning of the body's system is connected so that when one of the systems is
affected, it involves other systems connected to it. The neurological and musculoskeletal systems
work in a coordinated way; when one suffers some damage or disease, the other also feel the
effects. To better understand the diagnosis that will occur when the system is affected, one must
consider the mutual relationships between the two systems. There is an immense variety of
neurological and musculoskeletal disorders that can affect the body's ability to function
appropriately as these systems are closely connected.
The nervous system is compromised of the central and peripheral nervous systems. The
patient's headaches were caused by alterations in the nervous system (Felver, Mccance, &
Huether, 2019). The dysregulation of nociception and the pain modulation process comes from
changes in the central and peripheral nervous systems. This affects people with migraines. When
the patient reported that the pain, she was experiencing could be rated 10/10, it signified severe
and chronic pain. Chronic pain is considered to develop due to the stress one develops from
experiencing persistent pain. This patient's case could increase the pain because she has been
with continuous headaches for two months. Some research suggests that trigeminal neuralgia is
the cause of unilateral pain (Leonard, 2020). The patient reported that she felt pain on the right
side of the head. The trigeminal nerve is responsible for carrying information from the face to the
brain. Migraine headaches refer to a group of primary headache disorders marked by recurrent
unilateral headache episodes. It is often described as moderate to severe pulsating pain. It also
occurs with or without preceding symptoms (referred to as an aura) and is usually accompanied
by increased sensitivity to light, nausea, and vomiting (Felver, Mccance, & Huether, 2019).
