Moore Model
When output of sequential circuit depends only on the present state of the flip-flop, the
sequential circuit is referred to as Moore Model. It required more number of states for
implementing the same function.
Mealy Model
When output depends on present state and input the sequential circuit is referred to as
Mealy Model. It required less number of states for implementing the same function.
Finite State Machine
Machine that can be in exactly one of a finite number of states at any given time.
