, Introduction
This week my assignment is Google analytics. This assignment is about setting up goals in
Google analytics, setting up a target funnel and Create an advanced segment. After this is
been done I will wait 72-hours and then start analysing all the data. This assignment is
worked out step by step in order to achieve a good result. The document used for this is:
Conversion Optimization by Tom Nalis (Nalis, 2021).

Elaboration of the assignment (maximum of 1000 words)
For this assignment it is important to make proper use of Google Analytics and to set goals
and to use Google Tag manager and activate the correct tags. It is important to know Google
Analytics and Google Tag manager well and know what to do (MeasureSchool, 2016). The
first thing I did was set up Google Analytics. I have set 2 goals for this, which are explained
below.

1. Goal 1: Visit the smart bathroom page.
I chose this goal because smart bathroom often lags behind when people thinks of smart
home products. I therefore want to gain insight into how many people are looking for smart
bathroom gadgets when they are on our page. This goal is focused on destination. That’s
why i set up the goal in Google analytics. It is shown below.




1.1 Set up a target funnel
The funnel is also used for the purpose. As the goal describes, I want to know how many
people click through to smart bathroom from the homepage. Therefore, the first action in the
funnel is the homepage. The second action is the smart bathroom page. In this way you
can see how many people are at the top of the funnel (the homepage) and how they move
further down the funnel (the smart bathroom page). The question is, of course, whether they
also go deeper into the funnel.

1.2 Set a tag within Google Tag Manager
For this purpose I have turned on a tag in Google Tag manager with associated triggers. The
tag is the click on the smart bathroom page. The triggers I have set here are scroll depth and
clicks. I have set scroll depth as a trigger because I want to know to what extent they visit the
page, whether they scroll a lot or only read the first part. I chose clicks because I want to
