Chapter 31 Contacting an advertising agency
Kate has invited Alan Carr, the customer service manager of a leading
advertising firm. She defines the product, the objectives, the means and the
deadlines for the Amigo bar advertising camapaign.
Kate is doing a negotiation with Alan about becoming real partners. She’s trying
to lower the comission for Alan’s company, but he is not surprised by her
proposal.
They make a new appointment to discuss the media plan for the advertising
campaign.
Chapter 32 Quality control
Kate has an appointment with Torleiv Bilstad. He’s showing her the new
production line at the San Antonio factory.
This new factory has an greater efficiency and a pleasant working environment.
The production line represents a combination of human skill and experience with
high technology and automation.
Chapter 33 : Promoting the product
Kate has a discussion with Dr Clifford Cutler, who was her advisor at the
University, about the launch of Amigo bars.
Kate knows who her customers are. She can now plan and implement the four
major elements of the promotion mix. She intends to target TV commercials at
children during Saturday morning. In this way she wants to establish brand
loyalty. Dr Cutler warns that there is a bon on TV advertising of junk food to kids,
but Kate says that the Amigo bar is not junk food. They have dieticians in their
research team.
After the discussion with Dr Cutler, Kate has decided to give priority to sales
promotion.
