SUMMARY
This book, A tadpoles promise is about a tadpole who meets and falls in love with a
gorgeous caterpillar. The rainbow caterpillar told the shiny black tadpole that he
would never change, but he couldn’t maintain his word, it was a promise he could
not keep. The tadpole soon altered. He first formed two legs, then the tadpole
formed two arms. He then lost his tail and morphed into a frog. He went unnoticed
by the butterfly. She could not recognize him at all. She cried herself to sleep
because she was heartbroken and upset because the tadpole had promised her he
wouldn’t change but he did. Surprisingly the gorgeous rainbow caterpillar changed
too, into a magnificent butterfly. She now wants to forgive the tadpole so she flies
toward the frog on a lily pad and he swallows her up in one gulp not knowing that it
is his love the caterpillar, who has transformed into a butterfly.
