TACTICS AND IMPLEMENTATION 2 Tactics and Implementation In marketing, organizations begin with a goal or brand idea that helps determine the direction the organization wishes to take. Once a goal has been determined, a plan to achieve the goal must be conceptualized, and a marketing strategy developed. Marketing strategies are broad plans used to outline the steps an organization will take to achieve the goal or brand. Clearly defined tactics are the actions an organization takes to execute the marketing strategy. Tactics Product Marketing begins with understanding the product you wish for individuals to purchase, consume, or use. The first step in this process is understanding the product or service you offer and determine how to engage and connect with customers. A clear understanding of the product or service line a company is providing makes developing a marketing plan and connecting with the consumer. ECRHS will also need to complete an analysis of their current marketing plan to evaluate what changes need to be foremost to align with future strategies and goals. ECRHS is the product that requires improvement. ECRHS is a vast system spread over a large geographical area. Many of the facilities are in need of updating, and some are in need of significant repairs. There are services lines; the burn unit included that are no longer profitable. To provide a more appealing product and improve the brand, ECRHS will need to determine which service lines and facilities can be closed and reallocate the funding to improve the remaining facilities and service lines within the healthcare system. All these services will improve the revenue for the facility and have many more patients for different services, and it all can be done at the facility. The services that ECRHS want to improve their current patients is to add services and products that are more up to date. An example would be technology is always inventing new systems and computers. This facility would be equipped with all updated systems to be able to operate in the technology world. Brand According to Healthcare Success (2018) “health care branding is a high level and longterm marketing strategy.” Branding in healthcare starts with a health care organization deciding the direction they wish to take to differentiate themselves from the competition, to do this they must determine the one thing they wish for the public to know about them.
