NPTC Group of Colleges has a business development centre
at its Neath campus named Centerprise. Centerprise
provides a professional, supportive environment for
individuals who are setting up their own business and
includes a range of free facilities and support. The centre
helps current or past students of NPTC Group to develop the
necessary skills to be able to run their own business
Vocational Scenario or successfully.
Context You are currently completing work experience at
Centerprise as part of your BTEC course. You have been
asked by your supervisor to deliver a presentation on using
social media for business purposes to a group of business
owners at Centerprise. These business owners are
interested in using social media to promote their businesses
but know very little about it.
Create a presentation to deliver at Centerprise in which you
provide an evaluation of the different ways in which a
business can use social media. You should cover how social
media can be used to interact with customers and promote
Task 1 business products and/or services. You should also cover
ways in which social media can be used to target and
attract a specific audience and the audience profiles of
different social media sites.
