P7 Review of the performance of participants within an activity, identifying strengths
and areas for improvement
In this section of the coursework I will be reviewing the performance of different participants within
an activity and identify their strengths and weaknesses in order for them to improve these areas.
The information that will be analysed is based on the Brent Championships which were held on the
15th of January 2020 at 11.00am to 3.00pm in the local sport center at Willesden Sports Centre
accommodated by 17 different schools. As the activity was held later in the day the allowed the
leaders to learn and understand the activities they would be carrying out in time of the
championship when the participants arrive. I conducted the track races which included me to record
the time of the participants. This was a difficult role as I had to divide my time and strength between
the divided groups of boys and girls.
In order to measure the performance of the participants all the leaders came to a conclusion of
having a finish line where we all would be waiting for the participants to finish the race and record
their time. I created a chart which represents the recorded time I have collected. In order to make
this a fair competition there were 4 leaders who were responsible for any fouls or mistakes that
occurred during the race. Depending on this they would then inform me and the other leaders on
which colour group these fouls or mistakes were identified. My responsibility was to collect and
record the time and any fouls that occurred during this activity. I also had to calculate the total
overall score of the participants if they conducted a foul, this means I had to add half a second to
their finishing timing. After this as a good leader I had to ensure the data collected were accurate
and understandable in order for the data to be transferred into the system.

As identified in the results St Josephs school and Malorees Junior school were the highest
participants within a range of activity. Provided by the evidence of the data I can confirm Malorees
and Wykeham had the highest competition based on the scores of the girls track races. On the other
hand St Josephs had the highest competitive boys team. Overall, Malorees won 1st place and St
Joseph won 2nd place in this particular activity. Malorees managed to do quite well in both track
race and field activities. It’s believed that boys are way more misbehaved and careless then girls
which lead them to receive a lot of fouls therefore adding more time to their total score leading the
girls to have a better track score then the boys. Moreover, Byron Court came 3rd place despite not
