Focus on the statistical technique itself and your questions (be prepared,

Focus on the actual statistical analyses of real-life data and its research
report

Focus on applications, discussion of applying the technique (assignment)
and an add-on.

There are two assignments
The assignments are to be done in groups of 3 students
During the SPSS-tutorials, you can do the SPSS part of the assignment

The additional readings are only needed for the assignments, not for the exam.

Each of the parts contains a construct
The independent variable (condition)
The dependent variable (consequence)

A construct is a conceptual term used to describe a phenomenon of theoretical
interest, it is quantifiable and directly or indirectly observable. An indirectly
observable construct is called ‘latent’.
Example: IQ

Constructs must be defined in terms of object, attribute and rater entity.




Endogenous variable is
dependent variable.
Exogenous variable is
independent variable.
