Generally, Problem solving is can viewed as the process of working through details of a
problem to reach the solution. The process is usually cognitive in nature, and may include
mathematical or systematic operations and can promote critical thinking.

What do you think the drawbacks of teaching mathematics through problem solving
are?
Drawback of teaching mathematics through problem solving can be described as it follows;
Teachers who have not been trained adequately on mathematical problem solving
approaches
There is not enough time during lesson to implement problem solving instruction/
approach effectively
Learners have not been prepared to participate effectively during problem solving
instruction, etc.
