Who are we and why are we here?

- In response to one of the general questions (Document on Brightspace).
- You select one of the thematic questions (max 2 students).
- Strongly advise you to choose region of study in BAIS.
- You should modify general thematic question to better fit with your region/research but you
must remain within theme!

What are the required content elements?
- Production of a four to eight minute video including preliminary research on their chosen
question.

, - Deadline: five (5) full days before the day of the tutorial on Brightspace (if tutorial
presentation is on Friday, the deadline is the Sunday before your tutorial at 23.59)
- Creativity encouraged but the required content elements need to remain clear.
- This way, you will receive (productive) feedback on your question and (provisional)
argumentation than can be used to improve your essay.
- Must have
o Required structure
General introduction on the content of the theme (team work)
Presenter 1 (individual)
Presenter 2 (individual)
General conclusions that can be drawn on issue based on content of the
presentation (team work)
o The Pitch2Peer also needs to contain the following information for the individual
student
The specific question coming forth from the general question
A clear thesis statement (answer to the question)
IR theoretical lens that will be used (final essay requires a
‘counterargument’)
The general outline of argumentation that supports the answer to this
specific question
Grading criteria can be found on Brightspace
The presentation cannot be a slide show or voice over. You have to be visible
Group assignment, but grade is INDIVIDUAL

- Specific P2P(s) will be assigned for feedback, only for the two tutorial sessions that you do
not upload your own P2P
- The review will evaluate
o the formulation of the specific question/thesis statement
o the structure and content of the (provisional) argumentation
o the theoretical approach that is proposed
- Submission
o Assignments P2P Review Tutorial X
o Use the P2P Feedback Form available on Brightspace
Mandatory
o Use one form per P2P presenter
If you were assigned two videos, you have to submit two forms
o Include written comments to show your engagement
Mandatory
o Upload under Assignments (tutorial 2/3/4) two full days (before 23:59) before your
tutorial
o The peer feedback form will be used during the tutorial for discussion, with the goal
to provide constructive suggestions for improvement
