1. Calcium ion signalisatie


• Calcium ionen vormen één van de meest universele signaalsubstanties in de cel. Ze zijn
essentieel voor de normale celfunctie en tevens cruciaal bij celdood processen.


• Activatie van membraanreceptoren kan resulteren in
1. Ionotrope responsen à ionenkanaal in de membraan
2. Metabotrope responsen à geen ionenkanaal, indirect beïnvloeden met G-receptor

• Inositol 1,4,5-trisfosfaat (IP3), een fosfoinositiden metaboliet met belangrijke second messenger
functies

• IP3 triggert de loslating van calcium ionen (Ca2+) vanuit het ER/ES en activeert via Ca2+ en DAG het
PKC. Dit gebeurt door binding en activatie van IP3 receptoren (IP3R)
à katalyseert fosforylatiereacties
G-eiwitten binden (doeleiwitten fosforyleren)

PKC gaat naar het membraan
en komt DAG tegen




IP3 komt vrij en gaat Ca2+ activeert de PKC kinase
