How to survive the first day of school.

The most intimidating day of my life so far was definitely the day I started grade 8. I

started off at a brand-new school. I knew no one, had no idea where I was going and

finally knew what everyone meant when they said I would be the small fish in the big

pond.

Here are a few tips on how to ensure that your first day doesn’t go half as badly as

mine did:

SLEEP IS IMPORTANT

• Before you actually start the first day of school you should make sure that you

get more than enough sleep the night before. A balanced and well set out sleeping

schedule is said to improve concentration levels in class and will definitely make your

first day of school way more enjoyable.

DON’T SKIP BREAKFAST

• The following morning you should wake up on time so you do not end up late

on your first day. Eat a healthy, filling breakfast and make sure that you leave the

house feeling comfortable and confident.
