3.1.1 Why is important to plan for your lesson presentation before going to your
NSTech class?
The lesson plan is important because it helps teachers ensure that the day to day
activities that go on in their classroom are providing learners with an adequate level of
long term progress towards the goal outlined in their scope and sequence as well as
their individual education plans when necessary.
Through lesson planning the subject is organized properly and keeps the teachers free
from the faults of thoughtless teaching. It sets a proper atmosphere for the learning
process. The teacher also gets a clear idea about when they should start evaluation and
when they should proceed to the next lesson.
A lesson plan allows to teachers to apply appropriate strategies. They help in organizing
a lesson and saves a lot of time.

What is the difference between a work schedule and ATP?
A work schedule is used weekly to cover the content of a subject, it is work covered by
an individual teacher it helps you identify the sequence in which you need to cover the
content identified in the teaching plan. It is viewed in terms and the dates should
correspond with the learner’s dates in their books. It consists of, the week, date, topic,
content, resources, activities and date completed.
An ATP is a plan for teaching a subject for the whole year, it helps you determine which
content you need to cover for a particular term for a certain grade for the whole year. It
consists of formal and informal assessments that need to be covered, hours per grade
and all teachers that teach that given subject should have the same ATP

3.2.1 Write a full-page essay to describe each stage of the Design Process
represented in Picture 1 below. Do not rush though the activity. Write as much as
you can about the situation depicted in each stage of the Design Process. Picture
1 has 12 stages of the Design Process from “Define the Problem” to
“Communicate the Results”.
3.2.3 Design the desk organiser using (a) glue, (b) a hard-cover notebook, (c) a
pair of scissors and (d) seven leftover toilet roll inners. The desk organizer
should be able to hold stationery and keep it in order on the desk. Let the
Technology teacher from a neighbouring school check all your steps of the
Design Process. Please post your final artefact photo and the Technology
teacher’s comments on the discussion forum for the whole class to see and
comment on. Defining the problem in a design that a person can come across. The
most important part of design is to brainstorm ideas with your team. The next part of it
all is research.
Specifying constraints to ensure a smooth sailing process and finding ways to approach
those given constraints. Then you need to select an approach that will be used to give
solutions. A designed proposal is important then you’d have to deliver it nicely in a

Look at the design you’ll be presenting and check if it’s worth to buy, it needs to be
tested and evaluated before taken to a pitch. See if it works and if anything needs to be
fixed in the design, fix the errors. You’ll then pitch it by communicating to the audience
you’ll be pitching for.

3.3.1 How does theory help NSTech teachers in both their pedagogy and
didactics? It helps in such a way that learners have an idea of what they need to
do before putting it into practice. It also helps with understanding instructions so
that they do as instructed with better understanding of what to do and how to do
it. It gives a background and an idea as it’s explained to them theoretically before
putting it into practice.

The project is well organized, and is strong enough.
The measurements are accurate, she carved an accurate bowl in the spoon. The size of
the bowl is perfect. It can be kept in the kitchen drawer or hanged.
