EVERYTHING YOU RESEARCH NEEDS TO BE REFERENCED.
● An introduction to the assignment, what you will be looking at in your report
(use assignment brief context).
● For assignment A what skills could you do before completing the practical
work, what skills did you develop during the practical work, what skills you
gained that were new and how would all these skills be used in other units and
life
● For assignment B what skills could you do before completing the practical
work, what skills did you develop during the practical work, what skills you
gained that were new and how would all these skills be used in other units and
life
● For assignment C what skills could you do before completing the practical
work, what skills did you develop during the practical work, what skills you
gained that were new and how would all these skills be used in other units and
life
● For each of the assignments using the assignment brief comment and
judgement on each of the bullet points in the task on how well you did them,
compare yourself to others in the class (who were you better than and worse
than in each skill – why)
● What improvements could be made to your practical skills for assignments A,
B, and C. What steps would you do to improve these (more about the
communication, responsibility, giving feedback, behaviour, finding problems
and fixing them)
● For each assignment explain 3 strengths and weaknesses of areas of practical
work carried out (do not say you didn’t do things accurately or safely or you
won’t be able to get merit in any other assignment)
● What feedback did you get from peers (group members, other groups,
teachers) throughout the assignments, how did that feedback help you
improve certain skills. Why is feedback important to you
● What job would you want to do in the future, how would the skills you have
gained and developed be of use in that industry, how would you further
develop these skills
For distinction standard, learners will draw upon all areas of practical work
carried out to critically reflect on strengths and weaknesses of their own
performance and skill development drawing on feedback, for example from
peers, teachers and industry. Drawing on others’ feedback is crucial for
developing balanced progression goals.
For merit standard, learners will need to make judgements on their skill
development and level in relation to their peer group. They will need to
recognise the improvements that need to be made and how they will take steps
to achieve them.
For pass standard, learners will identify areas of scientific skills developed in
relation to the learning aims. They should draw on scientific skills they have
