Schematic Design—ANSWER--Program & Budget is prepared for owner. Sketches, graphics,
logical diagrams, general design criteria, preliminary cost estimates typically are developed
RFP—ANSWER--Request for Proposal
Design-Bid-Build (DBB)—ANSWER--Project Delivery method where the owner contracts with
an architect to design the project and prepare contract documents. When complete the
documents are issued to interested contractors to prepare bids to construct the work. Work
begins.
Submittals include—ANSWER---shop drawings
-material data
-samples
-product data
If SoW does not have enough information a contractor can—ANSWER--Ask via RFI

Parametric - dollar/foot, dollar/droptime
Engineering - by client for budget purpose
Sub Bid - price by sub for option to use

Bottom -up - each work package in WBS
PERT - optimistic estimate - lowest cost or fastest time
APERT Estimate—ANSWER--Falls between the pessimistic & most likely estimates.
Greater the difference between the estimates, the greater the risk
PERT 4th Formula—ANSWER--(optimistic +(4x most likely)+ pessimistic)/6
