Career path and professional organizations
For a business management student, the career objectives are to attain leadership
positions in an organization, enhance decision-making skills, and optimize organizational
performance. My career goal is to secure a position in the corporate sector where I can contribute
in the capacity of a business development and financial officer. My long-term career goal is to
attain the position of a senior manager in a multinational firm so as to enhance the management
of resources and improve the firms’ profitability (Sinnaiah et al., 2023). In order to do this, I will
have to improve on leadership, communication, and analytical skills as well as keep abreast with
the current trends in the market.
I decided to join the AMA because of the numerous available resources for professional
growth. AMA provides useful training, seminars, and meetings that will enable me to develop
leadership competencies and learn about new trends in the business world (American
Management Association, 2019). Besides, AMA offers an opportunity to get in touch with the
professionals in the field and to participate in the mentorship programs. It will be beneficial to
join this organization since it will widen my experience in strategic management, sharpen my
decision-making skills, and make me relevant in the current business world (Sinnaiah et al.,
2023).
I believe that joining AMA will be beneficial for me because it focuses on the
development of the individual. By so doing, the research based approach of the program and
leadership development, I shall be well equipped for managerial positions in various business
organizations. This area of focus at the association is perfectly aligned with my objective of
becoming a successful business leader. Thus, through engaging in AMA events and using its
