figures on the board. The rationale for this is that students can relate
better to pictures.
2) The practice (controlled) part of the lesson should include the phrases,
“I used to…” or the negative, “I didn’t used to…” This concept could be
delivered by placing the students into pairs and giving each pair a
picture to look at. Students should create sentences with these
phrases.
3) The production (free) part of the lesson could include placing students
in groups of three. They could be given visuals once again and be
asked to discuss the phrases among themselves. This activity could
help students gain more confidence in using the phrases and could
also be a fun activity.
