movement, a positive perception
Anxiety feeling of apprehension, uneasiness, uncertainty, or
dread from a real or PERCEIVED threat

Fear A reaction to a specific danger, perish is aware of a
specific dreaded object or event
Mild Anxiety alertness
- grasp more information, effectively, heighten,
perception, and awareness, sharp focus
- symptoms = slight discomfort, restlessness,
irritability, mild tension relieving behaviors (nail
biting, foot tapping, fidgeting)
Moderate Anxiety selective inattention
- grasps less information, clear thinking hampered
- Only certain things in the environment are seen or
heard only if they are pointed out
- sympathetic nervous system systems = Tension,
pounding heart, increased, respirations, perspiration,
mild somatic symptoms, (GI, headaches, urinary
urgency)
