PROFESSIONALISM

Go to The Balance Careers website using the link and review the do’s and don'ts of

professionalism: https://www.thebalancecareers.com/professionalism-526248

Pick one topic you do well and explain how you do this well:

Make It a Priority to Be on Time

I do well in this area, and I prioritize the following time. I always wake up very early in

the morning and prepare for work. I would not say I like going to work or attending meetings

late. I care about my job and try hard to make a good impression on my coworkers and boss by

valuing time. I do multiple things to ensure time is my priority and to meet deadlines. The first is

setting alarms to alert me and prepare a few minutes before the work or meeting starts. Setting

alarm guides helps me arrive at work and meetings a few minutes before starting (McKay,

2018). I also set alarms during break time to ensure deadlines are met.

Pick one topic you would like to work on and explain how you will work on this area:

Try to Stay Positive

The area I want to work on is staying positive. I understand that negativity and adversity

are contagious. I sometimes complain about petty workplace issues and would like to work on

this area to stop the behavior. I understand complaints may reduce coworkers' morale. I will try

my best to complain about severe matters and when things are done wrongly (McKay, 2018).
