1st stage of Heat Alert Ans: 90 degrees outside
A general announcement will be made. Heat risk I/M's
must be returned indoors if outside. They are encouraged
to drink cool water, shower or sink soak.
2nd stage of Heat Alert Ans: 90 degrees inside
Watch Commander shall be notified. Inside Heat Risk
I/M's shall be given access to ice, water, showers or spray
bottles for misting. Heat Risk I/M's will be subject to
increased custodial observation during heat events.
3rd stage of Heat Alert Ans: 95 degrees inside
Watch Commander shall be notified. Medical Staff shall
observe Heat Risk I/M's every two hours as long as the
inside temperature remains at 95 degrees.
