Unit 8 - Assignment 1
The Recruitment and Selection Process
Daniel Vroy

How a large business recruits and selects giving
reasons for their processes.

Introduction

In this document I will research a number of large businesses to find out how they
recruit and then keep the evidence of the research. I will then choose one of the
businesses that I have researched and explain how the business recruits and selects
by giving reasons for their processes.

Business 1: Aldi

Aldi, which is a supermarket known for its low prices and no frills store design,
mainly advertises its job availability through the Indeed website which suggests
applying on company site. Aldi then recruits new employees by reviewing
applications made online on their website.

Business 2: Primark

Primark is a low priced retailer carrying a wide range of product selection including
homeware, women's and men's clothing, children's, beauty, accessories, and more.
The way Primark recruits is by reviewing applications online on their website and
then giving phone calls to arrange interviews.

Business 3: JD Sports

JD Sports is a sports fashion and multichannel retailer of branded sports and casual
wear, combining global brands such as Nike, adidas, Puma etc. JD Sports recruits
online with sites like Indeed or their own website.
