Plasma membrane
- Partially permeable
- Controls movement of substances in and out of
cells
- Phospholipid bilayer
- Intrinsic and extrinsic protein molecules



Nucleus
- Enclosed by a double membrane with pores
- Contains chromosomes and one or more nucleoli
- Protein synthesis
- Nucleolus forms ribosomes




Mitochondria
- Aerobic respiration to produce ATP
- Double layer of membrane folded to form cristae
- Inner membrane has the matrix which contains a
circular DNA molecule and ribosomes
