Plant vs animal cell



Plant

- Cell wall
- Large permanent vacuole
- Chloroplasts
- Amyloplasts


Animal cell
- Lysosome




Prokaryotic vs eukaryotic

Eukaryotic
- Around 50 µm in size (between 10 and 100)
- Has membrane bound organelles (ie ER, golgi apparatus, nucleus, lysosomes, mitochon
- Large ribosomes- 80s
- Cell wall in plant cell made of cellulose
- Cell wall in fungi cell made of chitin


Prokaryotic
- Around 2-5 µm in size
- No membrane bound organelles- some have plasmid instead of nucleus and nucleoid (
circular DNA is found)
- Small ribosomes- 70s
- Cell wall made of murein
- Some have Flagellum for movement
- Slime capsule for protection
- Some have pili- hair like structure for bacteria adhesion
